2018-2019 Color Trend
Resonance
The relationship between technology and health.
“I’m fine -> Help me” tells the story of a depressed person. It’s a story that can happen all around us. We should use new technologies to make ourselves healthier. One way is to design products that are more in tune with how people feel.
Under this theme, we have chosen colors that show warmth and history, such as Glazy Ochre, Corduroy Green, and Lead White. The woven texture endows plastics with feelings of warmth and nostalgia.

Integration of Tech and Life: Immersive Experience
Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies 2017 described one of three trends as ubiquitous AI, immersive experiences and digital platforms that will help companies grow in the digital economy of the next fifty years. Researchers will continue to develop technologies that make the connections between people, companies and objects more transparent. Interactions between workplaces, homes, companies and individuals will be more adaptive and frictionless, and barriers between them will be gradually removed.
Zero-UI
Zero-UI is not a new idea. If you ever used Amazon Echo, adjusted settings on Microsoft Kinect, or installed a Nest Thermostat, You have already seen devices based on the zero UI paradigm. They embody the future of the Internet of Things, in which we are no longer confined to touchscreens, and interact more naturally with devices surrounding us via touch, computer vision, voice control, and AI.
Redefining the Sense of Value
We only find an object emotionally valuable when its appearance is consistent with its nature and purpose. A poorly designed device may feel cold and distant despite utilizing the most cutting edge tech; an object design with concerns for human emotions can leave us with memorable feelings. Design is emotion, and emotion is design.

Crafts and designs of Denmark are marked by a pursuit of quality away from mediocrity. Their products effuse emotional comfort, whether chairs, vases, coffee makers or modern stereos, whether made by hand or machine. In Denmark, design works are viewed as a way to make life more fulfilling, rather than symbols of status.
